Downtown, Los Angeles: December 3, 2025–
The Armenian Women’s Bar Association held a Networking & CLE Entertainment Law event entitled “From Source Material to Screen Hit: Making Adaptations Work”, which was hosted and sponsored by Sheppard Mullin in their Downtown, Los Angeles office. This was the second Entertainment Law panel put on by the ArmenianWBA, the first of which was hosted by Sheppard Mullin in its Century City office in December 2024.
Moderated by ArmenianWBA Executive Officer Ramela Ohanian, a partner at Sheppard Mullin, the panel delved into the lifetime of an adaptation, from acquiring rights and structuring talent deals to managing approvals, credits, and derivative rights. They also discussed life rights and the unique challenges of the unscripted world, including documentaries and reality television.
Panelists included Gina Eskigian, Partner at Sheppard Mullin, Mary Zaghikian, attorney at ForeFront Partners, and Elen Yeranosyan, Manager of Business and Legal Affairs at Fremantle Media North America.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments, dinner, and networking to conclude the event.
